Vikos Gorge Hike!

Doing a little bit of hiking today before the rain comes.  We started out in the village of papingo, and the mountains behind me are the entrance to the vikos gorge. 

Our host said it was a 1.5 hour hike to the gorge. 

It intermittently ended up raining on us but the clouds made the journey other worldly.

Pretty crazy we were hiking along the rocks at the top left of this photo and then made it down before near where the little blue river is at the bottom, and now are back up high on the other side of the gorge. 

But we made it!  4 hour hike to the village of vikos, lunch at a little taverna while watching it pouring rain under a little canopy in their garden, and a nice dry taxi back to our hotel!
